grassland or forest soil

rainfall affects both grassland and forest soil but in different ways. Where there is forest soil there is rainfall constantly comming down as otherwise the rain comes in seasons. When there is constant rain fall the water that hits the ground can go into the ground more because of so much water. This would mean water getting into A horizon, the B horizon, and possibly the C horizon. Which then the soil can store it longer thats why the trees are so tall and its so grassy. But if its grassland, water cant get into the ground very far because it only rains during sections of the year instead of year round. so its just grass and small trees
